May 2012 Report

Chayce is home for the summer!!

Chayce is officially a Junior in college.  I think he is happy to have a break, it sounds like this last semester was a bear.  We are very happy to have him home for the summer.

He landed a great summer internship (paid Smile) at General Chemicals and is working hard everyday.  He is learning a lot and seams to be enjoying it.

The house work continues:

We had a new water proofing system installed in the unfinished basement.

Chayce spread mulch in all the flower beds.

Chayce and Brandon stained the deck.

I power washed the house and sidewalks.

Kim has been going through room after room, closet after closet and the trips to Goodwill and the dump continue.

For Mother’s day we took Kim out to dinner and showered her with gifts, but most importantly we continued our tradition of taking a family walk in the afternoon.  We went to a park near our house and enjoyed the beautiful New Jersey landscape.

We held our spring company meetings in NYC at the Plaza Hotel.  Many would argue that the Plaza is one of the most famous and luxurious hotels in NYC.  It sure has been in a lot of movies over the years.

Yes the fixtures in the bathroom are all real 24 ct gold.

Brandon is wrapping up his Senior year of HS but unlike his west coast cousins he has to go until late June.  He is working doing construction.  As he says “I lift things up, then put them down”.  He is making good money and enjoys the work.

That’s about it for May, have a great June!

Congratulations to Chayce on surviving his 2nd year of college! Moving sounds like way too much work - maybe we could just hire you guys to come out and do all that stuff on our house so it would look good as new again. :) Sooo jealous you got to stay at The Plaza- just the lobby of that hotel is amazing!
