The month started with a trip to AZ to spend some time with Chayce. It turned into a football extravaganza! Saturday after restocking Chayce’s kitchen shelves, buying shoes and a vacuum, we headed to Sun Devil’s Stadium to watch the Devil’s take on the Beavers of Oregon State. ASU is looking good this year and has a great chance to win the PAC 12 South.
Sunday we went to the Cardinal v Giants game. It was a close and exciting game right to the end when the Giants made a dramatic comeback to win the game. Chayce and I played down our NY allegiance to avoid getting beat up by the enthusiastic Cardinal crowd.
Brandon has been having a great year. He is the leading receiver on the team for yards, completions and is tied for highest number of touchdowns. He also leads all receivers for pancake blocks, basically it means he flattened someone .
We have enjoyed watching him play and are sorry to see his career coming to an end.
Senior Night
No that isn’t a reference to Rob. In a pregame ceremony they honored the Seniors on the team. Mom got a nice corsage and wore his jersey as both Dad and Mom joined him on the field while they introduced each of the players and their parents. It was a proud moment for the parents and the boys were nice enough to indulge us for a few moments as they prepared for the game.
We aren’t sure if Chayce lost a bet or if he has joined the military, but we received this picture of his new hair cut!!!
Chayce, what happened to your head?
Quick trip to Atlanta. This isn’t actually a picture of downtown, but it is the view from Rob’s hotel room at the Ritz.
Brandon has spent the month working on his college applications.
and others…
As Megan and also those who have gone before can attest, it is a lot of work and highly stressful. Now we keep our fingers crossed and hope for options.
We got blasted at the end of the month with a freak snow storm. The big issue was not the amount of snow even though we did get about a foot. The issue was that it was a very wet, sticky and heavy snow that fell on trees which still had most of their leaves. The result was a disaster, Randolph looks like a war zone with trees and branches down all over the place. It took out power to most of the town along with phones, internet and TV. We lucked out and other than several broken branches and a few momentary power outages we only lost TV, internet and phones for a couple of days.
Schools were closed for two days much to the delight of Brandon and his friends.
Yes we had to drive under this. This was on our road just down from our house.
Kim decided that it was time for her to take on a new job and get her cat fix in the process. So she started volunteering at the local shelter working with the cats. Then she was asked if she could foster a cat at home for a couple of weeks…
Then another one…
Is anyone else getting worried? I know Shelby is!!!
I was looking at my iPad and found the following pictures of our family. We are an odd bunch, but I couldn’t ask for better. I don’t know how Grandpa missed this, he must have been taking a nap.
Have a great November and Turkey Day!

I love Kitties! I'm jealous Kim. I want to volunteer with cats!
Those pictures are hilarious! I wonder how long it is going to be before your house is overrun with cats. Shelby can come live with us if it gets too bad. :)
