After a very wet spring and Summer we finally got our first snow on December 5th, a little later than we expected.
One thing about the East Coast, these people really know how to throw a party. At 13 all the Jewish kids have a Bar Mitzvah / Bat Mitzvah and the non-Jewish have their faux-Mitzvahs. At sixteen kids [girls mostly] have their sweet sixteen and some families blow a ton of money on the party. Brandon went to a friends sweet sixteen, here he is all jazzed up for the party.
Brandon made the High School JV Basketball team and they are off to a good start. They won their first two games, let’s hope they can keep it up for the rest of the season.
As you can see Kim thinks she is responsible for the boys athletic abilities!
Christmas was a peaceful relaxing event for us this year. For the most part shopping was done early so we didn’t have a lot of last minute need to fight the crowds. It was very cold all month, so we stayed at home, eating, playing games and having fun. Rob took a good chunk of time off work so other than Brandon’s early morning practices most days we didn’t leave the house. We kept talking about going and doing something but couldn’t make ourselves get off the couch.
While the rest of us decorated the house and tree Brandon decided he wanted to play dress up with Shelby?
As you can see Chayce and Rob are worn out after decorating the whole house.
Shelby loved her Christmas toys!
Below are a few pictures from Christmas morning. It’s hard, because everyone gets mad at me for taking pictures.
It must be sign of the changing times. Kim got a Kindle (something electronic) from Santa and actually likes it.
Rob, Brandon and Grandpa having a Christmas on-line chat. Hopefully Grandpa can get it working on Grandma’s computer at home.
Happy New Year!! Have a great 2010.

The pictures of the snow are gorgeous! Sounds like another great month at your house, especially the lazing around doing nothing part!
You're house is so pretty in the snow. Congrats to Brandon on making the Basketball team. It is fun to see all the BYU stuff on Chayce. We will be excited to see his college choice.
Better save that picture of your house for next year Christmas photo or sell it to a christmas card company. Love to see those handsome young men. Wish we had been at your house to celebrate. Keep us posted on all the games and on the college acceptances. mom
