March 2008 Report

The first big event of the month was Kim's Birthday. It has become a tradition around here that the birthday person gets a weekend of celebration. Kim got breakfast in Bed both Saturday and Sunday. We went out to dinner on Saturday and Lunch on Sunday. Followed by presents and Cake on Monday (her actually birthday). Hopefully she enjoyed it in spite of adding another year to the age count.

We took the boys into the city to see Phantom of the Opera. It is one of Kim and my favorite Broadway plays. It is scheduled to end its run sometime this year so we wanted to make sure we took the boys to see it live before it was too late. Chayce was willing to admit that he enjoyed it and Brandon while voicing boredom, I think secretly enjoyed it just a little.

Kim and I celebrated our 22nd wedding anniversary. Amazing when you think about the fact that I'm only a few years older then that. Kim surprised me with a trip to Bermuda. It was so nice to get away from; well you name it, it was good to have a break. Bermuda continues to be one of our favorite places in the world. We had a great hotel on the beach with beautiful views of the the bay. We just hung out, visited the sights and relaxed for 4 days.

Kim stressed over driving on a scooter on the backwards side of the road. But given my superior driving skills we didn't have any issues.

Grandpa and Grandma R came to visit and were nice enough to time their visit so they could watch the boys while Kim and I escaped for our anniversary trip. It was fun to have them here, it has been a while since they have visited. I know the boys enjoyed having them here. We had a couple of nice day trips, one in the local area and the second down to Philadelphia. I didn't realize how long it had been since we had been there so it was actually great to go

again because the boys had forgotten just about everything from our first trip. I guess it is time to redo the DC trip.

Baseball has started up so I guess we will be busy with that for the next several months. So far only practices, but I'm sure I'll have some games to report on next month. ______________________
I don't know what Jeff is fussing about, I got my taxes all done by March 29th and I only needed to call him once (thanks Jeff). I have to admit I do feel like I personally funded the government, but I'm sure you all feel that way about now. Let me know when and where to sign up for the revolution.

I have to admit this whole blog thing is a lot of work. Either I'm not good a working the posting tool, or it just isn't very easy to work with, because it takes a lot of work to get this stuff to line up right and I did a bad job at it. Let me know if you have any tips. I guess it's worth it to have the pictures, but man it is frustrating.
