Congratulations Chayce
After 12 years of school, lots of hard work, countless hours of homework, tests we don’t want to even think about and hopefully some fun along the way, Chayce has graduated from High School. We are so proud of him and the hard work he has put in. He is such a great young man and has a bright future ahead of him. It is such a strange mix of emotions as a parent, on the one hand you are proud, happy and excited for their future and on the other you are melancholy as the passing of childhood smacks you in the face and the recognition that a new phase in our lives is about to start. But like most things I’m sure this next step will be filled with adventures and challenges that will make it more interesting than we can imagine. So Congratulations Chayce!!! We love you and are happy for your success.
The Graduate
Chayce getting his diploma
The kids blew up at least a dozen beach balls and batted them around. As soon as the administrators would take one away from them, a new one would magically appear. Everyone got a kick out of it, I don’t think the admin folks even minded too much.
The traditional throwing of the caps.

June started with Brandon going to Prom with his girlfriend (a senior). They look so nice all dressed up. I’m told they had a great time. Chayce is unattached and decided he didn’t want to go. So I guess you could say Brandon filled in for him at his Senior Prom.

Senior Skip Day – Chayce and some of his friends took advantage of Senior Skip Day and went to Six Flags for the day. According to him it was much more fun than a day at Randolph High. Go figure!

Brandon started football with a week of intense workouts known lovingly by the football players as “Hell Week” just before school let out. The day after school ended they started summer practices. The workouts are intense and made even more strenuous by the very warm weather we are having, but Brandon doesn’t seem to mind and happily goes to practice everyday. We’ll see if that enthusiasm is maintained in August when daily doubles start.
++++++++++++++++++++++++
Chayce babysits the next door neighbors kids once a week and they think he is the greatest thing ever [but then again, don’t we all]. I think they, (both parents and kids) are really going to miss him when he heads off to school in August. Adrienne presented him with this wonderful picture she made form him on a recent gig.

We have been out on the boat lots, the latest thing we have added is Knee boarding. It is lots of fun and the boys are learning to do some tricks, I’ll try and remember to take the camera out and get some pictures. We have our trip to the Finger Lakes coming up next month so I’m sure we’ll take a bunch then.
One thing that has made skiing more of a challenge so far this summer is that Brandon ruptured one of his eardrums. It got infected and for a couple of days he was in some serious pain. Once the antibiotics kicked in and it began to heal the pain went away, but it also meant he has had to stay out of the water for several weeks. It is healed up know so he is back to skiing/wake boarding/knee boarding again.
++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++
Hope you all have a great July with lots of “hot” summer adventures.

Congratulations to Chayce! I am slightly depressed at Megan turning 16 - I can only imagine what it's like to have a child graduate from high school - sigh! Looks like you guys are having fun! :)
Yes, Congratulations Chayce! You are a handsom graduate and we look forward to all the amazing things you will be doing with your future. Enjoy your time on the boat next/this month. Sounds like lots of fun.
