We arrived home from Puerto Rico just in time for nice spring like weather and Easter. The boys may be 18 and 16, but they still love a good Easter Egg hunt. The Easter Bunny made it particularly difficult this year, but they succeeded in finding all the eggs. True to tradition, Brandon was the last one looking. I have to admit having Conference fall on Easter Sunday made it a nice relaxing day.
Sweet 16 Parties – are out of control. I don’t know if any of you have started getting these yet, but here is a small sample of what has arrived at our house just this month. Thank goodness I only have boys… we just have to buy nice gifts and dress them up. The girls parents get saddled with footing the bill for the whole party.
Cirque Du Soleil was in New York again so we went to the show. It is always amazing to see what people can do. It was a nice family night out. We started the evening with dinner at Grimaldi’s, one of the best pizza places in “the world”.
It doesn’t matter what day or time, you are always greeted with a line to get in. [Kim and boys on left]
It may not be fancy, but it has been here for a long time and it is oh so good.
Here are the boys with our pies!
No there were no leftovers, we finished two pies!
The boys and I spent April getting PADI Certified for SCUBA diving. I’m happy to report we finished all our classroom and pool requirements. We are now certified, we go in May to complete our open water dives to be open water certified. We currently have plans to do those dives in Miami FL on the 21st, so we will have some stories to tell in the May news letter. It has been a lot of fun and we are looking forward to doing some cool dive trips in the near future. Stay tuned for more news and adventures on the SCUBA front.
The Boat is in the lake…
The month started out beautiful so we got all excited to get the boat in the water, and of course the second we put the boat in the water it rained. It did finally get nice and sunny the last couple of days of the month. We went out on Friday [4/30] and Chayce, much to Kim and I’s surprise, jumped in and went waterskiing…burrrr, the water is way to cold still for me. He said it actually wasn’t all that bad, but I wasn’t tempted. He took a couple of runs and then admitted he was out of ski shape and his arms and legs had had it. The season is off to a great start and we are looking forward to a fun summer of boating.

Loved all the pictures. Sounds like you people are off to a good start for the summer. When you come our way we will take you to the 'Voo Doo" donut shop. Love Mom
Sounds like a fun month - waterskiing in April sounds like something only a teenager would do and with Megan turning 16 in a couple of months I am glad sweet 16 parties are an East coast thing.
