November 2014 Report

I had to go to NYC for a few days early in the month and burr was it cold.IMG_1857

The following three pictures are from one of my partner’s new apartment in NYC, yes this is the view from his balcony overlooking central park.  Sorry i only had my phone so the picture quality isn’t so great.

Love NY in during the holidays, but they need to warm things up a bit.

For Thanksgiving we had Brandon home with us, but sadly Chayce was stuck in Wisconsin due to work so we didn’t get to be with him.

Lisa and family joined us for a great day of eating, swimming, basketball, football and tennis.  I didn’t do the best job taking pictures so you will just have to take my word for it.

Since Lisa’s new family is half from Mexico, we decided to have some fun with it and add a little Mexican to the party.  Along with the traditional Turkey and stuffing we also had tamales and hung a piñata.   We’ve gotten to know a young family that Kim watches their kids from time to time, so we invited them over that help break the piñata.

With high hopes and high expectations we purchased tickets to the ASU v. A game the day after Thanksgiving.   In spite of the outcome we had a great time.  We took off early with Brandon and his friend Mariah so we could have lunch in a great little Mexican place Kim and I discovered in Tucson 20 years ago when we first visited there, before the game.

After we returned home from the game a Christmas miracle happened.  Our house was decorated for Christmas before Christmas Eve!, no, before December!  Thanks mostly to Mariah and Kim, who got busy and got it done.

Kiley had a dance performance at the Glendale town Christmas festival, so we met Lisa’s family for dinner and watched her perform.  She did great and it was fun to watch her.

We are looking forward to having Chayce home for Christmas!  By all accounts he is loving his job and doing great.

Have a great December!  Merry Christmas!

It looks like Arizona has made you a cold weather wimp. :) And lets just say that the picture of Bryce in our blog doesn't even do it justice. Autumn tells me that he did her proud when he danced and strutted down the runway for the YM/YW fashion show. He even won the Mr. Strut award. Wish I had video to share, but sadly all I got was a photo.

Yeah, It looks like Brandon did a great job decorating. Perhaps he should get some credit for entertaining you all. Tell him to send lots of pictures from Italy.
