On paper it may not seem like we did do much in October, but it felt like we were busy. The most exciting thing is; outdoor living has returned to AZ. We have continued our backyard projects and now we get to spend time outside enjoying our oasis. Kim has planted lots of plants both in the ground and in pots.
The big project was to redo the surface of our pool decking. Rather then the bright standard surface we decided to go with a more natural stone look.
Just about every night we are treated with a spectacular sunset. Here are just a few.
Kim took me on a date to the season opener for the PHX Suns v. PDX Trailblazers
The boys and I managed to get a round of golf in.
Kim and I went on a new hike and I managed to pick up a traveler. It didn’t really hurt, but it sure didn’t want to let go.
The boys did stop by occasionally for visits and it was nice to see them.
I had trips to CA, NY, NJ and DC. I took the train from NY to DC and I must say, it is such a nice way to travel. Makes me wish we had high-speed trains to more locations.
I did my best to talk some sense to the criminals who run our country, but they just aren’t listening.
Have a great Thanksgiving!

I hope you were cheering for Portland. Love your blog. You are doing such fun things.
Grandpa
Love the gorgeous sunsets! Autumn says that she could get used to that view, especially if it came with your pool. :)
Sounds like lots of traveling for you, but a beautiful place to call home.
